Hi. I'm a writer, photographer, musician, and tech person from Oregon.
I like science fiction, art, cats, vegan food, and progressive-minded games.
Here's a site of stuff I've worked on and stuff I like. Thanks for stopping by!
For three years before moving to Oregon, I blogged about issues of urban design, walkability, architecture, transit, bicycle advocacy, and breaking out of car dependency in Fort Worth, Texas, at local alt-weekly newspaper Fort Worth Weekly. Here's a selection of articles I wrote, linked to at the Weekly's site.
I also wrote about these issues on my own site, Fort Worthology, for seven years prior to writing about them for the Weekly.
My band is The Crystal Furs, a guitar & organ-centric indie pop band that takes inspiration from '90s indie pop & alt rock and '60s pop. I handle keyboards and do backing (and occasional lead) vocals, as well as songwriting.
From 2008 to 2018, I was the Macintosh hardware tech at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. I left in 2018 to move to Oregon.
I am an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician and have extensive experience with Mac hardware and software, as well as good familiarity with Windows 10.
Here's where you can find me on other sites and services:
